Executive Board Members

A social justice advocate with a strong belief in the power of cultural exchange to bring people closer, irrelevant to their race, religion, or belief. Roger refuses to embrace hate and seclusion; instead, he champions inclusion and conversation towards better citizenship. 

 

As a public affairs executive working with different Canadian non profits, Roger was instrumental in designing and implementing award winning advocacy and public opinion campaigns. As a senior consultant at Hill+ Knowlton Strategies, a global PR firm, Roger provided strategic support to major clients in the Middle East. Before Joining H+K Strategies, Roger acted as the Business Support Manager for Middle East and Asia at Borealis AG, a multinational petrochemical company based in Vienna, Austria.

 

Roger received a BA and MBA in Management, M.A. in Communications, Marketing and Media from the Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and CELSA, where he graduated top of his class, earned a “Strategic Communications: International Perspectives” Certificate from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a “Communications for Professionals” Certificate from University of Toronto. 

 

Roger has been active in volunteering and supporting Canadian charities and non profits, such as the Canadian HIV Legal Network, Future Possibilities for Kids, and the Canadian Public Relations Society-Toronto Chapter as Vice President and Co-chair of the communications committee.

Roger Jabaly

Tamara is a people person, with 10+ years of experience in Human Resources. 

 

Her leadership experience covers non profit and private sectors, where she is instrumental in creating balanced workplaces that help employees reach their full potential. 

 

Tamara is also an energetic community leader, volunteering for Canadian charities, such as the Canadian Diabetes Association, and sits on the board of Parents Partenaires en Education as the regional representative of the French language Viamonde School Board.

 

Tamara Holds a BA in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in HR Management from the American University of Beirut and is certified in CHRP, SPHR, HRMP and is pursuing Life coaching certificate

Tamara El Sahyouni

Manny is a community leader and a strong believer in a multicultural Canada. 

 

Manny has deep roots in the labour movement. In his formative years as a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, he witnessed injustices to fellow workers and made a commitment to work for change.

 

He has since become a leader and integral part of Service Employees International Union. Under his leadership as EVP and now secretary treasurer, the union has grown at a remarkable pace.

 

Manny is dedicated to workers getting the protection they need in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Manny is an SEIU’s ROCK-WOOD BOLD leadership graduate.
